"Natural and relaxed documentary photography, blended with stunning portraits."
I think this approach really helps capture the essence of the day. I'll catch those special moments as the day unfolds – the loving gazes, the smiles, the laughter and the tears.
I'll spend most of the day in the background, capturing the day as it happens. The majority of the pictures I take will be completely 'hands off' and natural, so no forced smiles and awkward situations. It's your day, not mine – I want you to be able to look back at the pictures and remember just how your day went.
I'll encourage your guests to ignore me and enjoy your special day, rather than be a distraction to them... You should think of me more as a guest (a guest that takes bloody brilliant pictures!)
It's nice to have a few little time-out's throughout your day to go and get some portraits. I use state of the art lighting to capture stunning, artistic portraits (I'm quite relaxed/natural with portraits, so you don't have to worry about feeling so awkward you want to curl up into a ball and roll under the nearest table...)
Splitting the portraits up throughout the day means that I'm never taking you away from your guests for too long – and we also get the chance for a nice variety of pictures, such as during the sunset or evening.
I'm at your wedding to capture it in a natural and candid way, but I do understand that it's not every day that you have the people closest to you all dressed up and looking smart. Group shots are best done shortly after the ceremony, while all of your guests are still together.
Your day will go sooo fast – I can work with you to make sure that we get the shots that really matter and make the most of the time we have available. I think it's best to spend time getting a few fun or artistic group shots of the people most important to you, rather than to work through an endless list of group shots (and have your guests just waiting for it to be over so they can head to the bar.)
I pride myself on providing a friendly, professional service – and photographs you just won't be able to stop looking at.
I think that it's important to get to know you as a couple so that I can reflect your personality in the wedding photographs. Picking a wedding photographer can be pretty hard – especially with all the cheap/amateur photographers around at the moment. I'm always happy to answer any questions you may have – every step of the way.
Your wedding will be one of the most important days in your life. When its all over with, you will have your rings, your memories and your pictures – so make the pictures the best they can possibly be.
